I teamed up with a Textiles student, Lucy, who was experimenting with various fashion textiles. She found a place where much of the fashion industry sent their scraps (whether fabrics, labels, zippers, you name it). These scraps were then available for anyone to buy, so Lucy would gather up all she could carry, took them to her studio and did all sorts of crazy things. From ripping up cotton and threading it back together, to soaking denim cut-offs in glue!?
Then it was my fabulous job to play around in the studio and photograph them. So, this series is a fun photographic experimentation, of a textiles experimentation. Enjoy!
